Detailed gargoyles surrounded by fine stone and iron work place this build in a unique architectural category somewhere between Notre Dame and some sort of oversized crypt from a dark fantasy.
Pictured here atop the Raven Tree Main Store on MGM in Second Life the Gothic Landing was designed to accompany your dark desires to new levels of enjoyment. Why is it called a 'Landing' you may ask? Well, it really makes a great central location or 'Landing Spot' for your dark themed SIMs. The included gargoyles are a refreshing new take on a common theme in Second Life. I spent hours and hours creating and texturing all the various gargoyle pieces and all the sculpts for the building itself, making sure the shadows all looked just right.
There is a large main-level gathering area that could serve easily as 'grand role play stage' or commercial space for the right kind of SL content creator. Above each of the four stairways is a small gathering spot or retail vendor display area—two are roof covered, while the other two are open air. Higher still is a large open deck area where gargoyles perch and keep lookout. Centered in this upper area is a 'hidden' room, the uses for which are limited only by its size and your imagination.
Two of the stairways can be lit with the included gargoyle lanterns – just touch them to turn the flame on or off. Actually, you can light as many as you want with the gargoyle lanterns because they are copy permission and separately linked from the main build.
